Rovinj, 13 May  2008 - In the first quarter this year, Adris grupa's total revenue amounted to 637 million HRK, which is 16.9 percent higher than total revenue in the same period last year. Operating revenue increased by 24 percent, and operating profit amounted to 129 million HRK. Profit before tax, which equals 132.9 million HRK for the first quarter, is one percent higher than last year in the same period. In the current reporting period the one-time sale of assets amounts to 20 million HRK, adding accordingly to revenue and profit.

 

The tobacco business segment experienced an 8.8 percent decrease in the quantity sold, while at the same time increasing sales in the region. Adris Grupa's tourism business continued the investment cycle which began in 2005, with plans to invest 669 million HRK in 2008.

 

 

At the end of August, Maistra announces the opening of the first five-star hotel in the region of Rovinj, Vrsar -  Monte Mulini. Furthermore, upgraded properties (hotel Istra, TN Belvedere, TN Petalon, TN Blesička)

 

will receive finishing touches to complete the product. This is aligned with our strategy of positioning firmly in the upper market segment while keeping capacity at the same level, and enables us to significantly increase the quality of our offering.

 

 

Current double-digit growth in bookings compared to last year promises a significant increase in occupancy and a longer tourist season.
